Each year the Boosters raise funds for the band program while providing opportunities for students to raise funds for their own travel accounts. The following is a list of the fundraising events planned for the 2007-08 year. We hope that you find this information helpful as you plan both your calendars and your finances, and that you sign up to volunteer to help!

 

 

THIRD ANNUAL ROCK-A-THON

A pledge form is included in the information packet mailed to all band students. You may pick-up additional forms in the band hall and secure pledges!! All band students are encouraged to bring a rocker and rock the night away in the MHS Commons while enjoying music and games. Ninety percent (90%) of student pledge proceeds go into his/her travel account. Ten (10%) will go to the general band account.

 

 

 A big hit last year, students will again be able to sell the ever popular World's Finest Chocolate bars, with all proceeds going into their travel accounts.

 

This year, the Color Guard will holding several bake sales to help fund their trip to the World Championships.  All guard members who participate will divide the sale proceeds among their trip accounts.

 

 QSP is an on-line shopping experience, which earns profits of 40% to 50%. They offer over 700 of the most popular magazines in America. One may also select from 250 CD titles including pop and rock, jazz to country and gospel! The profit for magazines & music is 40% into your student's account. QSP also offers a selection of books and gifts including, stationery, candles, gift wrap, and more earning a 50% profit. Through this site one can send emails to friends and family inviting them to participate, too. Go shopping on-line today! Simply log-on to http://www.qsp.com or use the link on the band web site. Create a new account and Log on Choose Magnolia High School Band Booster as the school organization. Our organization number is 710329474. PLEASE NOTE: If a student's account balance exceeds the cost of this year's in-state trip, the balance will carry over in their account to the following year. Students can get a great head start on raising funds for next year's out-of-state trip this year!  When placing your order, remember to type in your student's name on the check-out page so that proper credit can be given.

 

 

 Band boosters operate the home-side concession stand at all of our home football games. Each family is asked to volunteer at least two times during football season. Look for your opportunity to sign-up. 

 

 Prior to the Christmas and mid-winter concerts, the boosters host a dinner for students and their concert guests. At this year's Christmas dinner, we will continue the tradition of a dessert auction, but we will also be adding an exciting small silent auction. Tickets will be available for purchase through the band classes. Look for upcoming information.

 

 

 

SPIRIT ITEMS

In addition to selling the items sold in previous years, we have added a large selection of shirts, pajama-style pants, hoodies, caps, decals and yard signs to purchase as a show of support for the MHS band and guard program. Items are reasonably priced, and a small profit is made on each item purchased. Most of the spirit wear can even be personalized. We will be selling all of the items that students need for the football games. Spirit wear order forms will also be available throughout the year.

 

BAND SPONSORSHIPS

This is an opportunity for an individual or a company to give to the band program through various levels of support and receive recognition/advertisement. One level also includes sponsoring a deserving band student. Please click on the link below for a Sponsorship form and more information.

Print out the form below and take it with you the next time you check out at Kroger.  Hand it to the cashier along with your Kroger Plus card and when they are swiped, the Magnolia High School Band Boosters will receive a percentage of your purchases through 4/30/09.  (You must re-enroll each year to remain in the program.)
