Our Purpose & Bylaws

The purpose of the MHS Band Boosters is to support the Magnolia High School Band and all its related affiliates. These affiliates include the Marching and Concert Bands, Color Guard, Percussion Ensemble, and the Jazz Band.

The functions for which the MHS Band Booster organization was formed include, but are not limited to:

a. Support the goals and objectives of the band program.

b. To assist the director, the staff, and the students with administrative and logistical support when requested.

c. To help promote a positive image of the band program throughout the community.

d. To provide financial support for the band program.

e. To foster communication between the band director, band parents, and band students.

f. To foster a feeling of parental involvement and support between parents and students.

We're only as good as our volunteers!

Running a successful booster organization requires dedicated volunteers. A program such as ours requires participation from every family in order for us to be effective. We can't run the concession stand for every JV game and home Varsity football game, fit and alter uniforms twice a year, organize and execute dinners & fundraisers or get our kids fed at games and contests with just a small handful of volunteers.

When you support the Band Boosters, you directly support your child. It is only when we work effectively as a team that we make fundraisers successful, which creates an opportunity for us to improve the band program in Magnolia Independent School District.

Please keep in mind that we request that a family member of every student in the band or color guard volunteer to help in the concession stand or at the Mitchell Pavilion for at least two nights.
